An established haulage and logistics operator in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to take operational responsibility for their fleet.

This is a senior operational role, ideal for someone who has run a transport operation and is looking for the next step.

Key responsibilities:
• Day-to-day management of a fleet of 20+ HGVs
• Compliance management — O Licence, drivers’ hours, WTD, vehicle maintenance
• Route planning and scheduling to maximise efficiency
• Managing and developing a team of drivers and transport admin staff
• Cost control and KPI reporting to the board
• Liaison with customers on performance and service delivery

Requirements:
• CPC Transport Manager qualification (Road Haulage)
• Proven experience managing a fleet of HGVs
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Commercial awareness
